Working with Keychain Access

Keychain Access existed in previous Mac operating systems, so you may already be familiar with it. Basically, you can use the keychain file to track passwords, such as a password for a particular Web site, application, or network server. When you go back to the location that requires the password, Keychain Access enters the password for you automatically, assuming that the software in use (such as your Web browser) is keychain-enabled.

Mac OS X Version 10.3 automatically creates a basic keychain access file for each user you add. Each file stores the necessary password information, listed by kind of password. You can then use Keychain Access to modify keychain information.
