Working with the Address Book

The Address Book application in Mac OS X Version 10.3 enables you to store contact information, especially email addresses, to help you address your Mail messages more easily. Remember that Mail, to some degree, remembers email addresses that you type into your outgoing messages. Address Book, however, enables you to capture much more information about a contact, such as a physical address and phone number, which you can use whenever needed. This section introduces you to the Address Book application so that you can begin to take advantage of its capabilities.

Starting and Quitting Address Book

You can start the Address Book application on its own or in conjunction with Mail. Start and exit Address Book, as follows:
