Creating a Mail Account

Before the advent of computers and email, it was common for people to have personalized stationery, for reasons of practicality (not having to hand-write a return address) and to express individuality. You can personalize some of the settings used in the Mail application, to set up your Mail account (if you didn’t complete the Setup Assistant when you installed Mac OS X or first used your system), customize some of its key behaviors to meet your needs, and put a custom stamp on your correspondence.
