Shooting a Picture of Your Screen

There may be times when you want to take a picture of what’s onscreen in Mac OS X Version 10.2. For example, you may be writing a “how to” procedure about a program to share with a friend; screen shots (pictures of the screen) can illustrate your steps. Or you may be having a problem with an application. You can take a screen shot of the problem or error message, then email the image or fax a printout to a tech support representative. No matter what your reason, you can use the Grab utility built into Mac OS X Version 10.2 to shoot the screen and save the shot as a TIFF graphic file. Follow these steps to use Grab:
