Closing the Classic Environment

If you’ve finished working in your Classic applications for the current work session and have quit those applications, it’s a good idea to quit the Classic environment as well. Like any other application or utility, the Classic environment consumes system memory. Quitting the Classic environment releases that memory so that your Mac can use it for other applications.
