Setting Application Preferences

NOTE

To start TextEdit, for example, click on the Applications toolbar icon in a Finder window. Scroll down in the window if needed, then double-click on the TextEdit icon.

Similarly, many applications offer a number of preferences that enable you to set basic parameters about how the application works, as the following example illustrates.
