Starting and Exiting Disk Utility

Earlier Mac operating systems also offered the Disk Utility application to enable users to eliminate disk problems. In Mac OS X Version 10.2, Disk Utility can verify and repair disks formatted as one of the following volume (mountable disk) types:

• Mac OS Standard

• Mac OS Extended

• UFS Formatted
