Chapter 13.  Setting Up an Internet Connection  > Setting Internet Preferences

Setting Internet Preferences

If you used the Setup Assistant the first time Mac OS X Version 10.2 was started on the system or ran it at a later time, you provided Mac OS X with some basic information about the account you have with your ISP (Internet service provider). If you change ISPs or if your ISP makes some changes to the way you must log in to your account, you may need to alter the Internet settings used by your system. Your ISP should provide any additional account information that you need.

All connections need settings in the Email and Web preference tabs in Internet preferences.
