Part: VI Windows XP for Special Situations > Using Accessibility Options

Chapter 23. Using Accessibility Options

IN THIS CHAPTER

Microsoft created Windows XP's Accessibility Options for people with special needs, but they can be useful for everyone. Windows XP includes two sets of accessibility tools: those listed on the Accessories menu plus a set of Control Panel options. These features make using the computer easier for those with special needs. For instance, you can magnify the screen so that one area is larger and easier to see. Likewise, you can display visual warnings for system sounds if you have special hearing needs. Furthermore, you can customize the keyboard, as well as type, using an onscreen keyboard and your mouse or other pointing device.
