The Basics of Icon Creation the Microsoft Way

Note

A vector drawing tool is a tool that can create vector graphics, meaning the graphic is saved as a geometrical formula rather than a pattern of dots (such as raster graphic programs use). Vector graphics do better than raster graphics when they are resized or stretched. Microsoft Paint creates raster graphics.
