Chapter 15. Creating a Windows XP Home Network > Checking Out the Neighborhood

Checking Out the Neighborhood

Your network is finally ready to go. After you have configured, connected, and perhaps restarted your computers, you'll want to add My Network Places to your Start menu. This is a quick way to view networked folders and printers. To do this

1.
Right-click the Start button and select Properties.

2.
Click Customize, and view the Advanced tab.

3.
Scroll down the list of Start Menu items and find My Network Places.

4.
Check the box next to My Network Places and click OK, and OK again.
