Task 9: Creating a Playlist

Click the Media Library button in Windows Media Player.

Click the New playlist button in the toolbar.

Type a name to identify this playlist and click OK.

The new playlist is added to the Media Library.

INTRODUCTION

You can use the Media Library to create a playlist of songs you have stored on your computer. You can then be your own DJ, playing songs in the order you select and from the artists you choose.

TIP

Copy Tracks

You can copy tracks from CD files and add them to your playlist so that you can include songs from several different CDs and artists. Refer to Task 7 “Copying CD Tracks” for more information.

TIP

Add Tracks

To add a track that is currently playing to the playlist, click the Add button and then select Add Currently Playing Track.

Expand the category until you see the song you want to add to the playlist and select the song.

Click the Add to playlist button and then select the playlist from the drop-down list. Follow step 5 to add each song you want to the playlist.

To display the list, expand the My Playlists and then select the playlist.

Click the Play button to play the songs in the playlist.
