Chapter 6. Setting Up Important System S... > Setting Shutdown and Restart Options

Setting Shutdown and Restart Options

It just seems totally incongruous, but as you know, improper shutdown is an invitation to lost data and a corrupt operating system.

By default, clicking Start will present the Log Off and Turn Off Computer options at the bottom of the Start Menu. Log Off is a new XP feature associated with Fast User Switching.
