Chapter 30. Registry Maintenance and Repair > Deploying Registry Settings

Deploying Registry Settings

Deploying Registry Settings with .REG Files

The easiest method for distributing Registry settings is through the use of a REG file. You saw how to export and import REG files earlier in this chapter, in the section “Exporting and Importing Registry Files with the Registry Editor” (p. xxx), but in that section you were exporting an entire Registry key. Let's take a look at using REG files to deploy a limited group of settings.
