The WMP9S Media Library

It's hard enough maintaining thousands of digital media files without having to do it across several different applications. WMP9S's Media Library collects and organizes all media files on your drive and removable media. In older versions, such as WMP7, the Library was very dumb. If you kept all digital media in one directory and added some that were not cataloged already, you would have to add each item individually. It was easier to simply delete the WMP Media Library database and have it search anew. WMP9S fixes that and then some. If you add media, WMP 9S can scan the entire drive and only add the newest additions, ignoring the files already added. If you prefer, you can even have WMP9S check to see if what it has in the library matches what's in the file system. Slick.
