General Structure of a VBScript Program

A VBScript program consists of ASCII text. Whitespace (spaces, tabs, and blank lines) is permitted to improve readability. Case is not significant.

There is no limit to the length of source code lines. However, to improve readability, you may break long program lines into two or more shorter lines. You must end broken-up lines with the underscore (_) character and continue them on the subsequent line (or lines). Here's an example:
