Tweak UI

Many Windows experts have become fond of an unsupported Microsoft product called Tweak UI, which is available and freely downloadable from the Microsoft site. Tweak UI is one of the Microsoft “Power Toys” developed by programmers at Camp Bill in Redmond, Washington. Tweak UI works fine on Windows XP as it did on Windows 2000 and Windows 98. Version 1.33 was available at the time of this writing, and auto-configures itself for the Windows OS it’s installed onto. Who knows, another version may be out any day now with even more features.

Tip from

Tweak UI is just one of the Power Toys. While these tools may not be included on the Windows XP distribution CD, you can always find them on the Microsoft Web site. Since they are not supported by Microsoft, they are not always easy to find. But here is how I usually locate them: Jump to the www.microsoft.com/windows Web page, click on Windows NT Workstation 4.0, click on Downloads, and then scroll down to Power Toys. I work with Tweak UI and Send to X, but try them all.
