Creating and Managing User Accounts

Windows XP excels in the home environment, where more than one person might want to use a single computer. Windows can set up individual user accounts, so each person’s files, preference settings, and desktop look will be kept separate.

To create new user accounts or to modify an existing account, log on as a Computer Administrator user. Keep in mind that you don’t need to log on as a Computer Administrator to manage your own account.
