Creating Custom Program Shortcuts

In Chapter 8, "Changing the Look and Feel of Windows," you learned how to create shortcuts to your files and programs. This section shows you how to create custom program shortcuts that enable you to control program operations.

Starting Programs on StartUp

If you routinely keep some programs open because you use them throughout the day, you can have Windows Me start these programs automatically when you start Windows. To do so, you simply create a shortcut for the program in a special folder called the StartUp folder. The StartUp folder is located in the Programs folder on the Start menu.
