Customizing the Clipboard

Of all the Windows features, the Clipboard is one of the most widely used. Surprisingly, its capabilities have barely changed since pre-Windows 95 days.

What the Clipboard Can (and Can't) Do

Most Windows users are accustomed to copying, cutting, and pasting text, graphics, and files with the Clipboard. Virtually every Windows application, including Explorer, supports these actions, along with the universal Clipboard shortcuts: Ctrl+C to copy, Ctrl+X to cut, and Ctrl+V to paste.
