Troubleshooting

Putting the Taskbar in Its Place

Your taskbar is no longer on the bottom of the screen.

This can happen if you inadvertently click the taskbar and drag it to another side of the screen. This problem is especially confusing if the taskbar is set to Auto Hide. If the taskbar is invisible, aim the mouse pointer at each side of the screen; the taskbar should pop up. Or, you can press Ctrl+Esc to display the Start menu. Drag the taskbar back where it belongs by clicking any empty space and dragging toward the bottom of the screen.
