Chapter 18. Working with Fonts > Matching Screen Fonts with Printed Output

Matching Screen Fonts with Printed Output

One of the computer user's most frustrating problems develops when the printed page coming out of the printer doesn't match what is seen onscreen. Fonts are among the likely culprits for this problem. If the printer doesn't have access to the same font shown onscreen, the font that is substituted is likely to have minute differences that are enough to throw off spacing.

How do you make sure the screen and printer fonts are the same? Windows applications using TrueType download the fonts to the printer, so the printer and screen display use the same fonts.
