Chapter 1. What's New in Windows 98 > A New Way to Explore the Internet

A New Way to Explore the Internet

If you've used Netscape Navigator or previous versions of Internet Explorer, you're already familiar with the basic concepts of Web browsing. Windows 98 includes the full suite of Internet applications Microsoft introduced with Internet Explorer 4 0. You'll find much more than just a Web browser

Internet Explorer 4.0 and 5.0: Offline Browsing and Web Subscriptions.

Internet Explorer 4 0 and the recently released Internet Explorer 5 0 address that concern by letting you set up Web subscriptions, which you can use to download individual pages or entire Web sites at regular intervals. Then, when you tell Internet Explorer 4 0 or 5 0 that you'd like to work offline, you can browse the stored pages without dialing up and waiting for them to download.
