Secrets of Mastering the Windows 98 Environment: Using Quick View

Quick View enables you to view files in most popular file formats without having to open the application in which the file was created. As a time-saver, Quick View is really handy for looking at attachments sent in email messages or for browsing files on a network.

Another nice feature of Quick View is that it enables you to drag and drop a file from Windows Explorer or the desktop into an open Quick View window. If, by chance, the extension of the file is not associated with a known application, the Open With dialog box is displayed so that you can determine whether to view the file in the Quick View window or to open the selected file with the appropriate application.
