Configuring Telephony Settings

Windows 98 offers advanced telephony settings for Dial-Up Networking (pages 510 and 853–854). These settings allow you to create multiple Dial-Up profiles to be used in various situations. For example, you might be required to dial 9 to access an outside line from your office, or you might need to dial the area code for commonly called numbers when you are traveling.

Notice in Figure 38.5 that under the phone number of the ABC Company is a field labeled Dialing From. Next to this field is a button labeled Dialing Properties.
