Previewing a Document with Quick View

Even the most compulsive filenaming system can't tell you exactly what's in every file on your hard drive. Using Windows Explorer, you can examine a file's name, type, size, and the date it was last modified. But to see the contents of a file, you need to open it with its associated application—or use the Windows Quick View utility to peek inside.

To view the contents of a file, right-click on the file and choose Quick View. A Quick View window like the one in Figure 6.16 appears.
