Secrets of Mastering the Windows 98 Environment: Browsing with Net Commands

As an alternative to browsing for resources through the Network Neighborhood, you can use the command prompt. This method provides a way to connect to known or hidden shared resources that may not be populating the Browse list in Network Neighborhood.

You should become familiar with the basic net commands that work in the Windows networking environment. For example, you can use the net view command to perform most of the same browsing actions as Network Neighborhood or Windows Explorer.
