Imaging

In stark contrast to Paint, Imaging (made by Kodak) isn't intended for drawing as much as for viewing images, scanning text or graphics, and making annotations on them. It can optionally fax scanned or otherwise acquired images. You could think of Imaging as a combination of something like Visioneer's PaperPort (for scanning documents), a graphics image viewer such as ThumbsPlus or LView Pro, and Delrina's WinFax Pro (for some faxing capabilities).

Viewing Images

If you don't have another image-viewing program of choice, the most likely use of Imaging would be to view documents and images onscreen. It can successfully open TIF, GIF, JPG, BMP, PCX, DCX, WIF, XIF, or AWB files.
