Tips From the Windows Pros: Fed Up with Usenet? Try a Mailing List

Email predates virtually all modern uses for the Internet. To address this limitation, Usenet was developed in the late 1970s to allow more widespread dissemination of certain kinds of information.

If you've used Usenet newsgroups at all, you know about the benefits they can provide. They serve as message boards and open communications forums, where anyone can read or post messages. Newsgroups can be used to give or get technical advice for a certain product, discuss issues and interests with other like-minded persons, share software and other files, and more.
