Chapter 13. Email > Using the Address Book

Using the Address Book

You don't have to communicate via email for very long before you mistype someone's address. Email addresses are often cryptic, and some are even case sensitive. It is for this reason that the Address Book is such an important feature of Outlook Express. The Address Book is a safe place to store contact information—including email addresses—for the people you communicate with.

Before going through the inner workings of the Address Book, keep in mind that this single feature goes by two different names within OE5. Sometimes it is called the Address Book, and other times it is called the Contacts list.
