Starting Programs and Documents from Windows Explorer or My Computer

You can use the Windows Explorer to find any file on your computer. (Note that the My Computer icon on the desktop opens a simplified version of the Explorer.) After you find the file, you also can use Windows Explorer to start the program or document. If the file is a program file, you can start the program by double-clicking its file in Windows Explorer. If the file is a document, you can start its associated application and open the document simultaneously. If the application is already running, Windows opens the document in that application.
