Installing a Network Adapter

A personal computer's network interface consists of two parts: the network adapter device itself, which usually takes the form of an expansion card or NIC (network interface card), and the adapter driver, which allows communication between the hardware and the network client software. Both the hardware and software components must be properly configured for network communication to occur.
