Backing Up Your Files

As you know, there is more information stored on your hard drive than you can possibly fit on a single floppy disk. The Windows Backup program automatically overcomes this problem by creating a duplicate image of your hard disk's data on a magnetic tape or by spreading an image across multiple floppy disks—as many as necessary to back up your data. During the backup operation, Windows fills each disk in the set to capacity before requesting the next disk. The collection of all these duplicate files and folders is the backup set.
