Finding Files

On a hard disk with a capacity measured in gigabytes, it's possible to store tens of thousands of files in hundreds or even thousands of folders. So it shouldn't be surprising that you occasionally lose track of one of those files. Fortunately, Windows includes a handy utility that enables you to hunt down misplaced files, even if you can't remember the file's exact name. You can search for a portion of the name or use other details, including the size and type of the file, the date it was created, or a fragment of text within the file.
