Customizing the Command Prompt Window

You can customize certain properties of the command prompt window to individualize the look of the window and make it more comfortable to work in. You can customize the window mode, fonts, screen size and position, and the colors used in the window. In addition to customizing the current command prompt window, you can customize the same properties for all command prompt windows.

To modify the current command prompt window, click the Control menu button, Properties.The Command Prompt Properties dialog box appears (see Figure 5.2). The name of the current window appears in the quotation marks in the Properties dialog box; "Command Prompt" is the default name.
