Chapter 12. Using Windows NT Accessory Applications

If you are upgrading to Windows NT from Windows 3.x or Windows for Workgroups, you will see plenty of familiar faces in the Windows NT environment, including the applications known as the Windows accessories. The Windows accessories are a collection of small but useful applications that perform a variety of different functions, from creating pictures to giving you the time and date. Windows NT includes most of the same accessories you had with Windows and Windows for Workgroups, along with several new accessories. However, despite the identical appearances, the Windows NT accessories have been recompiled into 32-bit versions, which means greater speed and better use of Windows NT's capabilities.
