Working with the Start Menu

The Start menu may be the most significant enhancement to the Windows NT interface. From the Start menu, you launch most tasks and applications in Windows NT. While you can access certain programs—shortcuts and taskbar programs, for example—from the Desktop you'll often access applications, utilities, and documents from the Start menu.
