Working at the DOS Prompt

Windows NT gives you the flexibility to work at thecommand prompt. You can perform file and folder maintenance, connect to network resources, and launch applications from the command prompt. You access the command prompt from the Programs menu. You can work in full-screen mode at the command prompt or in a window. A toolbar is available from the command prompt to speed up common tasks, and you can customize the color and size of the text shown in the command prompt.

See Understanding the Command Prompt.
