Using Internet News

As you learned in Chapter 20, "Using Windows NT with the Internet," you use a newsreading program to participate in newsgroup discussions. Microsoft's Internet News program provides you with all the standard features of newsreading programs, like subscribing to news servers, newsgroups, posting messages, attaching files to messages you post or send, and reading messages. This section shows you how to set up Internet News then reviews the product's features and functions.

Setting Up Internet News

The first time you run Internet News, the program leads you through the setup process. Setup is different from the installation process that installs Internet News into Windows NT. Setup tells Internet News about your ISP's news server, your e-mail address, and other information. This list reviews what happens during setup:
