Managing Security Policies

Security policies control the various safeguards on the workstation to ensure that only those with legitimate passwords and permission can access the workstation and its contents. Additionally, security policies enable you to record violations of security and other problems in a log so that you can appropriately supervise the workstation.

When setting security policies, you must be logged on as a member of the Administrators group. You can access and manage three types of security policies in the User Manager window:
