Part VIII: Appendixes > Acquiring a Windows NT Service Pack

Acquiring a Windows NT Service Pack

As you know, a service pack will not magically appear in your mailbox. You must acquire a service pack from any one of a number of sources. A description of three places where you can acquire service packs follows. Appendix C covers the different information sources available for Windows NT, including more details on the sources described in this section. In each case, follow the instructions to either download or copy the service pack appropriate to your platform, Intel x86, MIPS, Alpha, or PowerPC.
