Customizing the Desktop

Everyone has different preferences when it comes to the colors in their surroundings. You may have limited options for selecting or changing the colors of the walls in your office. However, you can change the appearance of your Windows NT working environment very easily. You can change colors, patterns, and wallpaper on your desktop in just seconds.

You'll find the desktop redecoration controls in the Display Properties dialog box shown in Figure E.1. You can open the Display Properties dialog box by clicking the Start button in the taskbar, pointing to Settings and choosing Control Panel. When Windows NT opens the Control Panel dialog box, double-click the Display icon to opened the Display Properties dialog box.
