Opening the My Computer Window

The My Computer icon on your desktop represents the contents and components of your computer, including the hard drive and all of the folders and files on it. You may also see floppy drives (a: or b:), CD-ROM drives, tape backups (d:-or higher), and other peripherals connected to your computer as well as the Control Panel and Printers folders. If your computer is equipped with remote access capabilities, you'll also see the DialUp folder.

Peripherals Peripherals include any hardware connected to your computer, such as printers, modems, CD-ROM drives, and so on.
