Opening a Windows Application

Windows provides a Start menu from which you can perform many tasks, including starting Windows programs. To display the Start menu, click the Start button on the Windows taskbar. You can open the Help feature from the Start menu; you also can open various applications from the Start menu by choosing the Programs command. The menus you see stemming from the Programs menu will vary depending on your system setup (see Figure 6.1).
