What is Network Mail?

You use the Microsoft Exchange program to send and receive mail messages within your LAN (local area network). Using the mail program, you can send and receive messages to anyone else who is attached to your network and can attach files—such as reports, memos, spreadsheets, and so on—to any message you send over the network.

The mail program is called Windows Messaging in Windows 95 and is represented by the Inbox icon on the desktop. Microsoft Exchange is the means by which the messaging operates.
