Displaying Files

You can display files on the network drive in either the Network Neighborhood or the Explorer; either way, you can treat the files and folders just as you would any files on your own hard drive, as long as you've been granted permissions and rights. In the All Folders window, double-click any folder to display its contents. And don't forget that you can use the View menu to display the files by Detail; then you can sort the files by name, type, size, and/or date. (See Lesson 2 for more information on viewing a window's contents.)

In this chapter, you learned to connect to a network drive and to log on as a different user. You also learned how to view files on the network. In the next lesson, you'll learn to share folders and printers, change sharing properties, and view shared files.
