When You're Done

When you're done surfing the Web and you're ready to disconnect from the net, you must exit Internet Explorer and hang up from the Dial-Up Networking dialog box. Follow these steps:

  1. To exit Internet Explorer, choose File, Exit.

  2. If the Dial-Up Networking dialog box is closed, open it again from the My Computer window by double-clicking the Dial-Up Networking icon. The Dial-Up Networking dialog box appears.

  3. Click the Hang Up button. A message appears confirming you want to disconnect from your ISP's server; choose Yes. A beep signals you've been disconnected.

  4. Close the Dial-Up Networking dialog box.
