Lesson 22. Using Internet Explorer > Using Internet Explorer

Using Internet Explorer

The Internet Explorer is a program that lets you access the Internet. You can access sites about books, people, countries, computers, and much more. This lesson assumes your Internet Explorer is set up and ready to go. If you need help setting up the Explorer, see Appendix B.

The Internet Explorer opens to the MSN (Microsoft Network) page. You can move the mouse around on the page and when the mouse pointer changes to a hand, that's a link to related information; most often, links are also underlined. You can click a link to see more information about that subject. For example, click the word Tutorial on the MSN screen to get an introduction to the Web and ideas on searching for topics. Services gives you information about 800 numbers, area and country codes, zip codes, IRS tax forms, and more.
