Granting Permission for Folders

When you set permission on a folder, you limit the access that groups or users within the network have to that folder and its contents.

Understanding Folder Permissions

You can set standard permissions for folders, and Windows NT uses abbreviations to indicate which permissions are used. Table 20.2 lists the standard permissions for folder access, their abbreviations, and a brief description of each.
