Lesson 17. Printing with Windows NT > Pausing and Resuming the Print Queue

Pausing and Resuming the Print Queue

You may want to pause the queue and then resume printing later if, for example, the paper in the printer is misaligned or the printer is using the wrong color paper. Pausing the print queue gives you time to correct the problem. To pause the print queue, choose Printer, Pause Printing. To resume printing, choose Printer, Pause Printing a second time to remove the check mark beside the command.

Warning

Printer Stalled If your printer stalls while it's processing your print job, Windows displays the word "stalled" in the printer status line. Choose Printer, Pause Printing to remove the check mark from the command and start printing again. If the printer stalls again, see if there's a problem with the printer (it might be offline or out of paper, for example).
